Complete in Box Plays - House of the Dead: Overkill (Wii) - Part 1
WARNING: LOTS OF IN GAME LANGUAGE. VERY MATURE GAME.
House of the Dead Overkill is by far the weirdest of the HotD games. It still follows the standard 'rail shooter' gameplay, but it feels different - and this may be due to it being developed by Headstrong Games --- you know, the company that made such bangers as.... Batallion Wars... Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest... and uh... Rabbids Rumble.
As we warned above, HotD Overkill has a ton of swearing and more violence than normal --- it is made campy on purpose, but they turn the camp up to 11. The story is silly and disjointed, but I want to believe that they did it this way.
One of these days, we're gonna bring you HOTD3... after we earn enough lives and continues. On the HotD 2&3 Returns for the Wii, you start out with 3 lives and I believe 5 continues --- the problem being, with 2 players, you share continues, and most bosses will hit BOTH of you on a single swipe. Pretty fair. Most times when you die, you will earn another life/continue, almost like the game is like 'there, there'. One of these days... in the meantime, more Overkill next part!
