Publisher LJN is pretty notorious for dumping a bunch of, let's be nice and say below-average games on the NES, but I would consider Nightmare on Elm St to be the best game they published on the NES. It could be because it was actually developed by Rare, who went on to make such classics as Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye...

This is the full playthrough of Nightmare on Elm St for the NES, with a nice little asterisk at the end. Once you understand how the game works, I really do like this game, and consider it an above-average NES game. It's just hard as all get-out. Thanks for watching!
