"Once, where this school now stands, was an old schoolhouse...
And on this very floor stood a very simple girl. The everyday, ordinary kind of girl...
One day she had a little accident... She slipped, fell, and cracked open her head. The damage was extensive.
Cerebral fluid and blood poured out. There was so much, her body almost floated in the pool that formed.
Anyone could tell she was dead just from a glance. She calmly stood up and muttered... "More... more..."
She then cackled maniacally... and vanished. Even now, in this new school... She wanders..."

This somewhat familiar ghost story greets Neosekken as he boots up this RPG Maker XP recreation of the original Corpse Party PC-98 game that served as both the foundation of its two remakes ("Corpse Party: Blood Covered", and "Corpse Party: Blood Covered ...Repeated Fear", the latter of which he's played prior to this new series) and the birthplace of a franchise.

Now who is telling this ghost story? One "Ayumi Shinozaki", and besides our player, Neo, she is telling this tale to her friends from Class 2-9, Satoshi Mochida, Naomi Nakashima, and Yoshiki Kishinuma, as they clean up their classroom late at night well after the culture festival has ended, primarily to help pass the time as they continue their work. They are soon joined by Satoshi's younger sister, Yuka, who came to his school to pick him up but offers to help Class 2-9 finish their task in their classroom.

Around the time they finish working the power to the school goes out, and the group hears music coming from the music room in the school. As they go to investigate this, however, an earthquake suddenly occurs, and when they regain consiousness they find themselves trapped in an abandoned schoolhouse...

With no idea how they got there, the group decides their best bet is to split up and search for an exit to the building, with one group containing Satoshi, Naomi and Yuka, while the other has Ayumi and Yoshiki. Thus begins Neo's new journey into Heavenly Host - and it doesn't take long for it to become apparent that the school the two groups are trapped in is dangerous, as the various corpses lying around throughout the building - along with their disembodied spirits - can attest to. From constantly shifting architecture to malevolent spirits & anatomical models, there is indeed no shortage of things that can bring certain doom to Neo and the cast members if they don't tread carefully...
