Continuing to work towards Chapter 5's final Wrong End, it soon becomes apparent that a truly vile side of Ayumi is rising to the surface, and the first thing she does to indulge this side of her is burn Naomi's paper scrap from the Sachiko Ever After charm -- right in front of Naomi and Satoshi, in sadistic glee for seeminly for no reason other than pure spite. Neo suspects that Ayumi might be coming under the effects of the Darkening without Yoshiki around to help keep her sanity in check, but regardless of whether that's true or not it doesn't change his belief that, on virtue of Ayumi heartlessly dooming Naomi to die and suffer for eternity in Heavenly Host, everything is going to fall apart for the surviving members of Class 2-9 before long.

Over the course of this episode, he's ultimately proven right. Shortly after Ayumi parts ways with Satoshi and Naomi, Satoshi and Naomi come across a photograph showing Yuka's mangled corpse, and Satoshi promptly freaks out at the sight. Around the time this is occuring, Ayumi runs into a Darkening-possessed Yoshiki, although what happens during this encounter is unknown to Neo.

Satoshi runs off to try and chase after Yuka's murderer, forcing Naomi to chase after him. Eventually she finds him again in the underground bomb shelter, standing over the corpse of Yuka, covered in a black aura - clearly under the effects of the Darkening. Satoshi gives his paper scrap to Naomi, telling her that he won't need it anymore since he's "lost the will to live". Ayumi and Naomi encounter one another again sometime after this, but Ayumi doesn't wait long to attack Naomi and take the paper scraps she has on her (due to Ayumi having lost her own earlier), leaving Naomi for dead and hoping to use the remaining paper scraps to escape Heavenly Host with Satoshi.

Unfortunately for Ayumi, her plan backfires spectacularly in her face before she even realizes it...

After unlocking this final Wrong End for Chapter 5, Neo then begins working on the few remaining Extra Chapters he has yet to play. One shows some flashbacks to happier times with some of the members of Class 2-9, while other one details Taguchi's own adventures through Heavenly Host shortly after separating from Kibiki...
