[BLIND LET'S PLAY]

After the release of the original Corpse Party PC-98 game all the way back in Aprill 22nd, 1996, it wouldn't be until the release of "Corpse Party: NewChapter" for mobile around a decade later in 2006 that the world would see a new official entry in the Corpse Party series. During this long period of absence of new, official material from the series' creators, fans took it upon themselves to fill in the gap by making their own fan game, which would serve as a prequel to Corpse Party (PC-98): "CORPSE-PARTY ZERO". This game was released on June 4th, 2007 -- 8 months after the release of "Corpse Party: NewChapter" --, and later translated into English by the American fan group "Memories of Fear" and released their translation to the world on September 23rd, 2012.

Given his prior knowledge that the two main characters in "CORPSE-PARTY ZERO", along with some events from the game, were referenced and canonized by the creator of Corpse Party in "Corpse Party: Blood Covered", Neosekken decided that "CORPSE-PARTY ZERO" is "required playing" as he continues to play the official, canon entries in the Corpse Party series, and thus here is the first episode of this new series on "CORPSE-PARTY ZERO" that you see before you.

The basic premise of the game is simple: Kisaragi Academy student Shiho Hasegawa is waiting for her older sister Kaori to rejoin her in one of the school's classrooms when they run late returning home, and eventually Kaori shows up. As they begin leaving the school, they discuss a particular ghost story about a girl who died at a now non-existent schoolhouse where their high school now currently resides, and how, after disappearing in a most unsettling manner, is now rumored to haunt the very grounds where Kisaragi Academy now stands.

Unfortunately for them, right as they were finishing up the story, a sudden bright flash of light and an earthquake knocks them unconcious, and when they awake they find themselves in an old dilapidated school building with no idea how they got there. Fearful of this sudden turn of events, the sisters agree to work together to try and find a way out and return home.

Does this premise sound familiar to you? If you were around for Neo's Let's Play series on "CORPSE PARTY -Rebuilt-", then like Neo you understand the significance of this ghost story they were discussing and how it's related to the siblings' current predicament. In short, history is repeating itself, except this time rather than controlling a whole group of students like Class 2-9 from "CORPSE PARTY -Rebuilt-", Neo is now taking control of the Hasegawa sisters as he will now have to try and help them escape the school together, and in one piece, because much like the previous two Corpse Party games he's played prior to this one, it quickly becomes apparent that the school the siblings have found themselves trapped in is full of various dangers, one which they will need to carefully deal with lest they meet a gruesome end.

Neo has managed to overcome the supernatural terrors of two Corpse Party games already and successfully save as many people as he could between both games. Even though he only has to worry about just two people this time around, will he be able to save them both at the end of this journey and ultimately succeed again for a third time?
