Corpse Party [3DS] (Pt 16): Neo Learns What He Possibly Needs to Do to Bring an End to the Nightmare
[BLIND LET'S PLAY]
Learning the identity of the true culprit of the Heavenly Host Murders along with re-confirming the general method he needs to appease said murderer in order to give the survivors of Class 2-9 a chance to escape the closed spaces together, Neosekken decides that what he needs to do is figure out what exactly drove Sachiko to murder the other children in cold blood if he wants to have any chance in getting her to express remorse over her actions.
Unfortunately, while he has a general game plan set up, Neo will still have to contend with keeping the remaining survivors safe and sound from the countless dangers lurking within Heavenly Host's multi-dimensional walls -- as his eventual confrontation with Kizami exemplifies. With Kizami's mask of sanity visibly slipping by the minute, even Yuka quickly realizes the danger she's in by continuing to stay with him and thus decides to go off on her own, ignoring Kizami's warnings to not go to the lower levels of the second wing. Upon doing so, she and Neo discover the miraculously-alive Kurosaki, who urges Yuka to flee for her life. Unfortunately, Kizami shows up and knocks her unconcious, but before he can do anything to her he's stopped by some choice words by Kurosaki, and when Kizami gets close to him in order to entertain his curiosity over some of the "regrets" Kurosaki has over not being a better friend to Kizami, Kurosaki uses the last of his strength to give one last punch in defiance of Kizami, which provokes Kizami into flaying Kurosaki alive.
Eventually Yuka regains conciousness, and upon doing so she sees Kizami standing over the remains of his former friend, looking directly at her, a manic grin spread across his blood-soaked features, promising her that "her big brother will protect [her]"... even if it means snuffing out her life. Naturally, Yuka isn't having any of this, and starts following the now late Kurosaki's advice and flees for her life, thus beginning the longest, most tense chase sequence Neo has experienced in the game thus far.
Eventually Neo manages to escape from Kizami with the apparent aid of Sachiko, and after this Neo witnesses two final scenes with Morishige where, at the end of the one taking place in the present time, he witnesses something on his cellphone that seems to drive the poor guy mad, and whatever happens after that Neo can only speculate as the scene cuts to black and all he can hear is sound, before that too eventually stops.
Neo then watches Satoshi and Naomi discuss their plans to try and find Sachiko, in order to get her side of the story relating to the Heavenly Host Murders - specifically, what exactly happened to her after the murders and how she came to haunt the multi-dimensional Heavenly Host they're all trapped in along with the other ghost children even though she wasn't killed during the incident itself.
THEN, Neo watches Ayumi come out of the trance she was put in to see Yuki's dying memory and, sharing what she's learned about Sachiko with Yoshiki, the two decide once and for all to go back into the closed spaces and tell the other survivors what they've learned before they get themselves killed, and with Yuki's help they do just that. Now back within Heavenly Host the duo decide to try looking for the other survivors once again and set off exploring the most tense version of Heavenly Host they and Neo have seen thus far.
Neo then switches back to Satoshi and Naomi who, after regaining their bearings after the biggest earthquake yet had already passed, find themselves watching Kou Kibiki's tape where he and his assistant Taguchi begin their own trek through the closed spaces. In the tape, they learn of a way out that Kibiki apparently has knowledge of, but before they could learn any details about this method the tape cuts off. The two decide to try and look into this method of Kibiki's. When they leave the custodian's closet, they notice the school looks and feels completely different from before they went into the room, and this moment confirms to Neo that Ayumi's theory about the connections between the closed spaces to be correct.
In fact, Ayumi and Yoshiki shortly find Satoshi and Naomi, and the two groups finally reunite after their separation back when their nightmarish journey began, and the two groups decide to coordinate their efforts to find the other surviving members of Class 2-9 and gather whatever items they both need to piece together the answers to the remaining mysteries they have yet to solve, and then work to appease Sachiko and escape together. Now controlling two groups simultaneously, Neo sees he'll have his work cut out for him trying to help them accomplish their objectives, but since he feels he's come too far to stop now Neo eagerly accepts the challenge and plunges forward, thinking about just what the final act of "Corpse Party: Blood Covered ...Repeated Fear" still has in store for him...
