Crash 1 - Boulders (Shades of Wumpa Preview)
17It's been a while, but I'm now proud to bring out the first preview for Shades of Wumpa, the coming Crash Bandicoot arrangement selection :D
This is a project that will be undertaken over the next 3 months or so. Due to my new part time job I don't even know if I will actually have everything done by the time of Mind Over Mutant's American release, but I will try my very best.
Here is an arrangement of Boulders, one of a fair chunk asked for by Logan812. In fact, most of the Crash 1 soundtrack is very minimalist so it's actually hard to maintain the essence. But at the same time it makes great room for expansion too as some of the emptier sounds can be easily interpreted into a more flowful means, so to speak. Very unusual, indeed. :)
This also marks the first time I tried to record myself playing with my PSP. Since I didn't get any TV adaptors in time (there's so few of which for the original model :(), I've had to make do with the good ol' traditional method of webcam video and line-in sound capture. This was as bright as my PSP screen could go too, which also felt disappointing. But I'm glad it managed to come through ok - a decent run through both Boulders and Boulder Dash, and an amusing outtake at the beginning too. :D
