Spyro 1 - Blowhard (Dragon Rhapsody Vol 2 Preview)
14Preview 11 for Dragon Rhapsody Volume 2 comes towards a more "special" request, so I say.
Chosen for the occasion is Blowhard, one of Spyro 1's bosses. No one requested this one in particular, but I wanted to get something together for RedDevilDazzy as he celebrates his birthday today :D His set of three recent favorite levels from the game included this stage, and I managed to squeeze enough room to place it on the album. He didn't request anything in particular, but I just want to be nice to him either way and get him involved :D
The original track was fun to work with - 6/4 time signature with breezy repetitive rhythmic structures. In terms of boss musics it's a tie between that and Doctor Shemp for me on preference, so it's gotta be firm enough to recognise it.
When looking back at my original recording I hoped to do better, especially since I HAD to forget that one blue gem in the passage between facing Blowhard for the first time and Altair's location. But I'm not worried though; anywhere more polished and I would have struggled to delay game time, as is the usual.
Whichever happens, it was fun and I wish Darren a happy birthday! Coming on 22, so there we go :)
