In today's episode of the "Crash 4" playthrough, we defeat N. Gin and his giant drumming death robot and move onto the next world, a pirate-themed area, where we encounter a Tawna from another universe.

While I may have my complaints regarding this game, one thing I won't deny is that it offers some of the best boss fights in the series. For example, in today's episode, after clearing a chase level in which we must run away from a truck using the Atlas Sphere (which is sadly only used in this one level despite controlling like a dream), we fight the first boss, which is a giant robot that's a combination of "Guitar Hero" with N. Tropy's fight from "Crash 3". Though unlike in N. Tropy's fight, which is surprisingly slow-paced, in this fight against N. Gin and his big drummer bot, not only are you dealing with constant attacks, but you have to also contend with the floor moving, whether in the form of conveyor belts in the first three phases or moving platforms at the end.
Heck, the only real gripe that I have about this fight- which is more a minor nitpick than an actual complaint- is that they didn't go all-out by also giving N. Gin's robot an electric guitar so that way he could play a full rock-and-roll remix of his signature theme.
Anyways, even though we defeated N. Gin and saved Akano, the latter accidentally fell into a portal, forcing us to travel to a pirate world to save him, during which Crash and Coco somehow get taken hostage. But luckily for us, we're saved thanks to Tawna from a different timeline, who plays like Crash and Coco, except instead of sliding, she can cross large gaps and defeat enemies from a distance using her trusty hookshot.
