Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time - Episode 4: Spin to Win
0In today's episode of the "Crash 4" playthrough, we complete the final level of the pirate hub, obtain the second Quantum Mask, Akano, whose powers we put to good use in the first level of the next hub, which is themed after feudal Japan.
For the final level of the pirate hub, we get to take a trip down memory lane in the form of riding around on the jet board from "Crash 2". Though unlike the jet board sections from "Crash 2", which were pretty mild unless you were trying to race through the levels, the ones in this game feature more tight turns and obstacles, making it where you'll need to be more careful this time around. Thankfully, the jet board controls as smoothly as it does in the "N. Sane Trilogy" version of "Crash 2", so the obstacles that the game throws at you in these sections, which include a miniboss fight against a sea monster named Louise, aren't too bad.
So with the pirate hub cleared and Akano at our side, from the next level onwards, we're able to take advantage of his power: the ability to spin indefinitely, break metal boxes with ease, reflect projectiles, and jump farther and higher than ever before. However, because we're always spinning when using this power, it in turn makes TNT crates as dangerous as their nitro counterparts while active.
