In today's episode of the "Crash 4" playthrough, we complete the first two levels of the second hub and clear the first flashback tape.

For our next world, we're going to the year 2084, where the world has become a desert wasteland straight out of "Mad Max", complete with everything being constructed out of sheet metal and every enemy being a demented raider that spent way too much time in the sun without a hat. As such, it should be no surprise that N. Gin's running the show in this world and will be gracing us with his thoughts until we reach his boss level.
Though fortunately for us, while this world is fraught with danger, we can make things a little easier on ourselves by using Lani-Loli in certain sections to make objects disappear and reappear at will.
As for the levels in this world, while they are far from being the hardest in the game, even from the first one, there's a noticeable spike in difficulty thanks to all the fire being thrown your way, as well as crates being placed on rails. In addition, when using Lani-Loli, be careful not to make a platform appear if you're inside it because if you do, you'll be killed.
That's why my main advice to getting through all of the levels with three or less deaths is to simply make a beeline dash for the end while not going out of your way for crates. Sure, it may not be as fulfilling as getting the crate and/or wumpa gems on your first try, but it's your best chance at minimizing your deaths in a given level and getting your hands on the flashback tapes, which require you to reach them without dying once, which is easier said than done- especially with the last four tapes.
