In today's episode of the "Crash 4" playthrough, we complete all three prehistoric-themed levels in the Eggipus Dimension, which includes the first level in this game where we play as Cortex, and get the fourth and final Quantum Mask.

Just like with the previous world where there was no boss, the Eggipus Dimension offers a pretty good selection of levels, with the first being a standard platform level full of vibrant colors and fair challenges and the third being an improved version of the prehistoric levels from "Crash 3".
When it comes to Dino Dash, the previously-mentioned third level, I think what makes it a step up from its predecessors in "Crash 3" is that unlike in those levels, which had a mostly brown color palate with a few reds and oranges sprinkled in, this one has plenty of greens and purples as well to spice things up. In addition, the dinosaur that you're running from this time around is a big step up from the one in "Crash 3". Don't get me wrong; a triceratops charging at you at full speed would be terrifying, but how can you top the T-Rex, the king of the Jurassic Era?
Though what really sets this world apart is that for the first time since "Twinsanity", we get to play as Cortex in the second level, and as you can guess, he controls nothing like Crash. As Cortex, you don't have much going for you as far as platforming goes- just a single jump and an air dash. However, where Cortex shines is his ray gun that lets him turn enemies into one of two types of platforms: a metal one that he can stand on and a spring one that he can use to bounce to higher locations.
