Welcome back to my channel, dear gamers and to the start of another walkthrough. This time, we'll do a quick and light one as we dive back into the world of Crash Bandicoot series which we last visited back in 2020 when we capped off the walkthrough of the series' PS1 trilogy. With that in mind, today we'll be starting our journey through the series' sixth generation debut and one of its more polarizing entries, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath Of Cortex so sit back, relax and enjoy the gameplay.

Bear in mind that in order to achieve the true ending of the game, players are expected to achieve 106% completion of the game which can be done by collecting all of the game's primary collectibles, including time trial relics which require multiple level retries. In order to keep the walkthrough more streamlined, i will not be going for the full completion of the game in this walkthrough but will still do my best to collect as many of the optional colored gems as i can. With that out of the way, enjoy the walkthrough.

About Game: Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath Of Cortex (also known as Crash 4 in Japan) is 2001 action-adventure platformer video game developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Universal Interactive for PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. It is the fourth mainline Crash Bandicoot game and until the release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time in 2020, was considered to be the official sequel to 1998's Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. The Wrath Of Cortex was the second Crash Bandicoot game developed after the series' original creators and developers, Naughty Dog, abandoned the franchise in 1999 in favor of a new IP and first of those two games that aimed to actually translate the platformer gameplay of the PS1 trilogy to the new console generation as its predecessor, Crash Bash developed by Eurocom, was a party game developed on PS1. Upon release The Wrath Of Cortex was met with very mixed reception as reviewers of the time praised the game's visuals, music and added vehicle sections but were also critical of the game's lack of originality compared to Crash Bandicoot 3 with one of the reviewers even calling this game the "carbon copy of Crash 3". Others were critical of the inclusion of Coco Bandicoot as a playable character, seeing it as unneccesary and long loading times averaging nearly a full minute in PS2 version of the game were universally panned. In total, The Wrath Of Cortex sold 1.5 million copies and even today, remains a polarizing and controversial game in the series' fandom, albeit to a lesser extent than at the time of its release.

Story of the game follows the titular protagonist, a mutated bandicoot named Crash who along with his younger sister Coco and friend, a sentient tribal mask named Aku Aku, finds himself facing off against his arch-nemesis and creator, evil scientist named Neo Cortex who, angry at constantly having his plans for the world domination ruined by Crash, sets out to outright kill him in order to remove him as an obstacle for his future schemes. To that end, Cortex and his own sentient mask ally, Uka Uka, contract the help of Elementals, four sentient masks capable of controlling natural elements of earth, water, fire and air to a degree that allows them to potentially destroy the Earth, in order for them to power Crunch, new Bandicoot mutant created by Cortex in order to kill Crash. Upon discovering this, Aku Aku sends Crash out into the world to track down the power crystals needed to imprison Elementals and stop Crunch and Cortex with Crash's means of transportation being a device built by Coco.

In his quest to stop the Elementals, Crash first targets Rok-ko, an Elemental capable of controlling earth and heads after the first crystal, landing in the middle of frozen ravine...
