Crash Twinsanity - Mecha-Bandicoot/Cortex Remix
2For me, the first boss fight against Cortex and Mecha Bandicoot in "Twinsanity" will always be one of, if not the most, iconic battles in the series. Sure, the fight in of itself is pretty basic, what with it taking place right after the first level where the most combat experience a new player has is sliding into a tribesman before spinning him, but it more than makes up for it with how much character it oozes. Seriously, this fight might as well take place in a diamond mine because it's packed to the brim with gems- Cortex assembling most of the bosses from the previous four games (and "Crash Team Racing"), as well as Polar with his baseball bat, for some Legion of Doom-style team-up, only for them to do nothing during the fight, Cortex's birthday gift speech as he blasts away the arena's floor with bombs, and Dingodile casual "Lunch?" to Dingodile as soon as Cortex loses, to name a few.
Not to mention, Mecha-Bandicoot badass entrance in which it slowly rises up to face you as Cortex introduces us to it, which, as N. Gin remarked, was magnificent. Though it's a shame that due to the game's rushed development, we only got to play as Mecha-Bandicoot during the last phase of the final boss fight.
