Create Card Combos on a Grid in this Deckbuilder Roguelite | Combo Card Clashers: Prologue - Part 1
3Hello everyone! Here we go with a new demo. This is Combo Card Clashers: Prologue (the demo of the upcoming game Combo Card Clashers), and it self-refers as an auto-battler deckbuilder roguelite, although I am not so sure about calling it an auto-battler. Yes, your companions fight on their own, but I still think the main part of the game is you playing cards on the grid (which is a pretty good mechanic). Instead of going for the classic "5 cars in hand plus 3 energy", you get 3 cards and you only play one, but that one card stays on the grid, and will be played each turn with all the other cards you play during the next turns, you deciding the order (and order is very important).
Right now there are 2 playable characters and there is an ascension mode, but I don't think you can play it in the demo. There is a nice variety of enemies, armour and artifacts. Not a lot of variety in cards (yet) and recruits, BUT, apparently, you can also recruit enemies, which would be really interesting to see (I haven't done it yet).
Anyways, I really enjoyed my playthrough here, and I will also be uploading a video trying the Warrior.
