Create DARK SOULS in Unity ► EP. 126 Character Effects (Pt. 1)
In this episode we create our first two "Character Effects" in the form of damage type modifiers and damage absorption modifiers. Adjusting a damage type modifier will allow you to increase a damage element (physical, fire, lightning, darkness, magic) by a percentage. Adjusting a damage absorption modifier will allow you to increase damage absorption by a percentage.
In the next video, we will begin work on our character effects system using scriptable objects, and we will use this new functionality to create our first "Ring" items. The character effects system will also process things like poison, casting speed, and much more.
