Crimzon Clover v1.00 (Original, Type I, Stage 3 Boss Demo)
4Just a quick clip to test my MacBook Pro screen recording setup, and to demonstrate my technique for destroying the third stage boss, for those who may be having trouble with one or two of the patterns. The biggest problem most players will have on this boss isn't just the laser spin attack, but the fact that the second form cannot be directly damaged until one of the outer scales have been destroyed, which makes the second form a race to destroy everything quickly.
Key methods are to generate as much power bar as you can through the first form - you can pointblank a few seconds at a time as the boss shifts attack patterns - and to save your accumulated Double Break for the second form, after the first laser spin attack, which can be navigated at Locked-On speed if you stay close enough to the boss. Use Double Break to get back down the screen, and to both score and deal as much damage as possible.
Those with some confidence can go for maximum score on the first form by Lock-On killing the boss when it is doing its trap needle attack, and on the second form when it is doing its second laser spin attack.
Third form is a pain for me, usually, but if you stay back enough, you can use a Bomb or two to wipe the screen so you can lock-on for a x4.8 multiplier.
