Cuphead - The Devil (Good Ending)
9So, finally completed Cuphead today. This has been one incredibly difficult game right from the start, and as expected The Devil, the final boss, was no pushover. His appearance here, as a big screen filling guy sat on a throne with his legs spread reminded me a lot of Loki, the final boss from Ghouls n Ghosts.
Man, this guy was tough, took me the best part of an entire afternoon to beat him. That spinny fire attack that homes in on you, with the pink parry-able bit in the middle was a right pain in the arse. It had a tendency to hang around on screen when he was going into his next attack, normally the hand slap thing, meaning you've got to try and dodge them both together. So annoying! The 2 constantly spawning little demons in phase 1 were really annoying too.
The 2nd and 3rd phases weren't quite as tough as the first, but they still weren't exactly easy. So glad the 4th phase was a relatively short one after all that. So glad I decided to see this through to the end. I was really put off by the difficulty at the start of the game, but now having completed it, it does feel well worth it.
