This vfx video tutorial shows you how to recreate a cutscene from the video game Record of Lodoss War - Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. This game shows at the very beginning an easy but very effective way how to utalize a particle effect to a background. It looks like a time tunnel or skybox, which is easy to recreate in Gamemaker Studio 2.

The idea is quite simple. You have a black background and which you emite cloud particles that radially go out of the middle point (here from a ring). Over that you do a simple text (here Scribble used) and swap some images to tell a story. And that is pretty much it.
