Hard playthrough / longplay as the hidden, secret and penalty boss Jaguarandi, the start of the video shows off the Saturn FMV intro and attract display, you can jump straight to the action at 04:18 in the video. Jaguarandi (ヤガランデ) is a beast of a character and can sweep away anyone with ease even Z-Gradt. As you can see in the video this is a straight one credit clear with no rounds lost. Best described as a powered up Raiden, Jaguarandi only weakness is his sheer size, which makes him easy to hit. The Saturn's port of Virtual On remains just as playable as the Model 2 arcade version and while the graphics and frame rate take a hit. The gameplay remains the same high speed action as the arcade. The Saturn port comes with a whole range of features including splitscreen versus, ranking and replay mode. Jaguarandi was also made playable for the first time and his implementation is slightly cleaner in this port, with a full launch and continue screen added in for him, than the later PlayStation 2 version. Hands down the PlayStation 2 port is the best version of the game, which makes Z-Gradt playable and adds in a secret version of Fei-Yen. However as our Japanese PlayStation 2 is currently out of action we can't video it right now!

The game runs at 60fps, however the mecha animation is only in the 30fps region. Jaguarandi can be unlocked either via a cheat code on the title screen (when press start is flashing) by pressing and holding Down on the D-pad, followed by pressing and holding L Trigger and R Trigger together with down still held, this will trigger a engine sound effect if done correctly. He can also be permanently unlocked via finishing the game with all characters (We think, it can be done but we aren't 100% sure how). As a bonus extra we have included the Saturn only Jaguarandi continue screen at the end of the video.

Cyber Troopers Virtual On is also available on the PlayStation 2 as Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 31 and a raw arcade Model 2 port was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, which we have previously showcased. The game is also due to come to PS4 in the near future.
