True Pinball - Sega Saturn - Pinball gameplay all four tables [HD 1080p 50fps]
Also released on PlayStation, True Pinball is the console version of non other than Digital Illusions CE's Pinball Illusions which is the final game in their Amiga Pinball trilogy made up of Dreams, Fantasies and Illusions. True Pinball is a terrible name and the reason for the rename was never made clear, possibly the change in publisher may have had something to do with it. As a result many series fans ended up overlooking the game as a result.
All fours tables from Pinball Illusions return Law ‘n Justice, Babewatch, Extreme Sports and the PC only Vikings tables, which is by far the best of the four tables it has to be said. Unlike Pinball Illusions all the tables are now 3D rendered and you can choose between the classic top down view and a 3D table view in both high and low resolution. The game is an impressive 60fps or 50fps in the PAL version which is the version shown in this video. However the resolution mode used, affects the speed of the ball. All the tables play differently depending on which camera view you use, so keep that in mind. Some tables like Law ‘n Justice are rather weak in the 3D view due to the terrible ramp shot needed to light the game mode. Certain table elements are also not shown in the 3D view at all like the “SLAY” lights in Vikings above the bummers. All tables feature wizards modes and it will take plenty of practice to reach them. The game has one huge issue however in that neither the Saturn or PlayStation version include a save feature rendering the high score system useless as soon as you switch off your console.
For this video we shows all four tables in the high resolution mode before looking again at Law ‘n Justice & Vikings in the top down view.

All footage in this video is captured directly from the Sega Saturn console, via an Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro using a RGB Scart to HDMI upscaler. This video is captured from the PAL version which is optimised to run at 50hz and can't be force into 60hz due to overscan occurring which makes it impossible to see the flippers.
