0Despite meme-spawning glitchiness and a disappointing lack of interactivity, I still think that Night City - with its detail, variety and dizzying scale among other things - is a genuine achievement as far as game environments go. It's definitely the most engrossing open world I've experienced in years. Even though there's very little meaningful to do aside from story missions and major side quests, I still find myself roaming the rain-soaked, neon-colored streets in Cyberpunk 2077 for lengthy periods, passing by those impossibly large skyscrapers blotting out the sun and watching as steam rise from every dark and greasy crevice of this gloriously decadent megalopolis. CD Projekt RED's writers have created some genuinely memorable NPCs for CB2077's quests, but Night City itself is arguably their best character since a certain Phillip Strenger in The Witcher 3..
