There are lots of time periods I wish I could visit, but very high on that list is ancient Egypt. I wish I could be an Egyptian nobleman at that time. I would be adorned in ornate robes with golden accents, scribing about the gods and the stars. Alongside me would be cats, the most revered of all animals along the Nile. Historical records show that cats were highly regarded due to their seemingly supernatural abilities. They were treated with dignity by all, to the point where it is deemed criminal to kill cats unless they were to be mummified.
Unfortunately, the main cat in “Stray” does not possess any divine powers, nor is it in the ever-worshipping world of ancient Egypt. Instead, it is a normal cat in a cyberpunk future after mankind's disappearance. Robots and horrible creatures called Zurks are the only inhabitants of this devastated world. And while the robots don't seem to care too much about the cat, the Zurks are intent on gobbling it up. Our feline protagonist must navigate through the dangers while scaling heights and solving puzzles in the hopes of returning to the Outside. A game where I play as a cat?! I'm in!
