Friends, I'd like to embrace my fanboy side for a moment. I enjoy the Street Fighter games, but until one of my deep dives into the YouTube gaming avenue I did not realize how immensely popular the series is in the tournament scene. It was during one of those rabbit-hole explorations that I then discovered the name Daigo Umehara. He's a legend. More than a master competitor, he approaches playing with a philosophical mindset. He's inspired me to focus not on winning, but on learning and improving.
Can I consider myself a good player of SFV currently? Not at a competitive level, but I do wish for the distinction that I can operate each of the game's 45 characters successfully against the hardest computer level. That is definitely easier said than done. I believe the roster of SFV is the most diverse I've ever seen in SF games ever, in terms of playstyles and archetypes. As Street Fighter 6 dawns on the horizon, I'd like to test myself with what I've learned in SFV.
