DARK SOULS III The Ringed City DLC, How to defeat NPC Desert Pyromancer Zoey
5If you're having trouble with this NPC your not the only one. Here is a tactic I found worked very well. Especially if you cant tank her damage.
At this soul level it is very important to set up your rings, armor and even ember yourself so you can take at least one hit from her or you'll be running across the map over and over. Once you've found the proper ring setup, take out the 4 Hollow Slaves in this area.
Get close enough to her and bait the Flame Fan attack. When the second hit comes in go in for a poke attack such as the R2 attack from a long sword. Whats nice about the R2 attack is that you can hold it and let go only when the timing is right, right after her second Flame Fan attack. Rinse and repeat. She will heal twice and will be open for a few quick attacks then. She will drop the Flame Fan pyromancy.
On an odd note, a fire longsword dealt more damage on her than a dark longsword.
