7First off, I would suggest having a good amount of Oxygen before doing this, as well as a built up weapon. Also, use the Glacial Area before heading down to try for weapon upgrades, Oxygen pickups, or a Scooter, because there are a lot of big fights coming up!
After opening the third door, you have to help Swamu by controlling both characters at the same time. At first, you will have to climb out of the water, and control Dave on land, while Swamu has to swim below. Just keep working your way forward, it's very linear. If one character gets stuck, switch. Apparently do NOT accidentally vault up the ledge when the first crushing hazard is down and get a game over like I did....lol. Thankfully losing here doesn't send you back to the boat with only 1 item 👍
After making your way through the puzzles, a path will open up going down further, and you will then have to control both Swamu and Dave at the same time. Just take it slow, and it shouldn't be too hard. Advance one character at a time through some of the puzzles, especially when going through the crushing hazard with the holes in it.
Finally, it's time for the first boss fight, the Helicoprion! Dave mentions hiding, but I didn't see any spots you could hide (like the statues in the Gadon sequence). I guess just go behind an object and when it lunges, swim past it. Get it close to Swamu at the top, and control Swamu to the side it is on and use the Divine Tree Fruit to stun it. Unload on it with your weapon, and get ready to do it again. Having a Scooter during this fight really helped!
After taking out the Helicoprion, harvest it, and then go through the opening it made. Both Dave and Swamu use a lever, and the final switch is activated, which should open the Control Room. Heading out and checking the Control Room Door, Dave finds it is stuck, and John Watson shows up....(this guy lol). I don't know if this is time based, or if you can just try swimming away from the fight right after it starts, but after I dodged a ton of his missile/mine shots, I tried to leave, and that's when I got the next cutscene. Let me know if you can just leave right away, that would definitely help with this whole sequence.
Anyways, you try to swim away, and a Kronosaurus emerges and absolutely destroys John Watson's submarine. Dave is forced to fight it to be able to access the Control Room. Dave will mention the Missile Launcher, and you definitely are going to want to use it in this fight, as it was hitting for huge damage! After shooting it, though, it will fall out of Dave's hands, and be on a cooldown until you can use it again. Just keep your distance, watch out for its bites, rock spit, and lunges, and shoot it with your weapon while waiting for the Missile Launcher to be useable again. Also, it seems to have some huge fire attack, but I interrupted it, so I don't know exactly what it does....maybe sweeps up the screen? Use the pickups around the area if you need them (clam, ammo, etc.). Eventually it will go down! Make sure to harvest it!
Dr. Bacon shows up as a hologram, along with Duff, and they let Dave know that they can use the drone to cut the roots to open the door, but it will take 2 days. Go do what you need to do, and 2 days later it should be accessible.
