Updated for 2024, in this introduction to my new-starters beginners guide tutorial to Modding DayZ Nitrado PC Custom Community Servers, I tell you & explain how to use Expert Settings (serverDZ.cfg) to change the date and time at which your server will start, and how fast time passes while it is running, so you can have longer days and shorter nights, or vice versa.
I show you how to use the time calculator on DayZ Boosterz website to work out the values for serverTimeAcceleration & serverNightTimeAcceleration, also also what serverTimePersistent means & does.
This video tutorial also shows you how to switch between the vanilla maps of Chernarus & Livonia (Enoch) by editing the mission template from dayzOffline.chernarusplus to dayzOffline.enoch
