Warhammer 40,000 - Ork Big Mek - McFarlane Toys Action Figure Review
We are back with another Warhammer review from McFarlane Toys!
We finally get the Ork race, starting off with the Big Mek figure.
As a Megafig, the Big Mek stands 10 inches tall with its back attachment equipped. The figure is loaded with details in the sculpting as we have become used from from all of McFarlane's excellent sculpting. Having such large pieces of armor attached to the figure hindered the articulation a lot, mostly due to the boxy design of the armor.
While the paint was applied well, and used on areas that would have the most impact, we can notice a lot of smaller details left unpainted like, bolts, tubes, and wiring.
Accessory wise, we only get the standard McFarlane stand with the figure, with no other bits of armor for customization. Seeing as he comes with a giant flamer, and a Kustom Force Field attachment some sort of effect would have been nice.
Overall its a great start into the Ork race from McFarlane toys, i cant wait to see the other Ork figures and compare them. The other Ork figures are Megafigs as well, so you might want to wait until they're all out in order for you to choose the best one. But if your collecting the entire line, or just really love the Orks check out the Ork Big Mek figure.
They're definitely true to the style and look of the miniatures and perfect for custom paint jobs, or minor touch ups, especially in the Warhammer community
