So uh, a Potential Anime Waifu just killed herself, because I told her too. Consequences I guess- did I do something wrong here?

Doki Doki Literature Club is a Romantic Visual novel turned horror game at one point in development. People may think this was done on purpose, because it was, but I think they just wanted their game to actually get attention, and then this game was born. If this game didn't have horrific elements I wouldn't be talking about it. This is a logic loop and I am exploiting it for your entertainment. But that raises questions, like "Why? "Who?" "Wait" "What is a Natsuki?" "Really?" and my favorite, "What the fuck?" So I will be explaining Mechanics, Story elements, we'll get to why it's elements later and not the story, Monika, Graphics, Gameplay loop, Sayori, Anime, Tactics, Funny, Yuri and Natsuki.

The gameplay of Doki Doki Literature Club is a very easy, read, I was going to make a joke that I am very good at reading but I am struggling to read my own script. So I will just say that you can get woman as a part of this game. There are 4 P.A.W.s, Sayori, Yuri, Natsuki, and Monika, each having their own personality, tastes, horniness levels, and one of them likes cats so she's the best. Take a guess. Sayori is neutral, Yuri is extremely edgy, Sayori likes cute things, and Monika is very smart? I guess? I don't know I don't really like her. There is a save feature so if you accidentally make the .png sad you can just reverse the universe and timescale a little bit before you piss it off. But if you like your decision of hurting the .jpegs feelings then I can not stop you, only help you. In my playthrough, yes this will be personal because I can have affliction/affection for .mp4s, mostly affliction. Fuckin' hate .WMFs! AUGHH! Anyhow, in my playthrough, I pissed off the .TGA to the point- uh, we'll get to that in story. Point is, you have lots of consequences for being a little weeby.

The story is very very simple, you, a schoolboy/schoolgirl, with a name that makes more sense with less context, are addressed by your best friend to join a Doki Doki Literature Club, of course she is your best friend so you say no. She gets sad, and you say no again. Wow such realism, saying no to an anime girl. She tempts you in with cupcakes, take that as you will. You reluctantly join only to find there are 3 more P.A.W.s in the club, of course there is Sayori, the basic white out school girl that was your best friend for the past something years, basically she is a female Pokémon trainer if said trainer never became a trainer and just went to school. Do your school kids. Then there is Yuri, an extremely edgy girl who won the hearts of nobody I think. Then there is Natsuki, who likes cats, has small breasts, is into cute things in general, and is very wholesome. Then there is Monika, a madlad who is very smart. She basically is the smartass of the group who I will make fun of for the rest of this video. The story goes on a day to day basis of your activities in a club. There is a festival coming soon so be prepared for it. At the end you may get one of the 4 P.A.W.s to be your girlfriend. Tell Sayori that she's a good friend, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand she died. Yea the amount of "oh fuck what did I just do" moments leading up to this are incredible. And then seeing this imagery, it really puts you in her shoes. (I probably shouldn't have said that...
Imma say something worse) Hang in there Sayori, you can do it.

The visuals are very anime with anime things having anime things happen. The anime is very weeblike and will get weebs to buy the game. I am not a weeb I swear.

The gameplay loop is very basic, you read what has happened that day, proceed to write a poem to sway one girl, like it matters, and repeat.

And that is DDLC explained poorly. The game is a fun horror game that takes 0 turns but instead kills itself. I'm planning on doing Bendy and the ink machine next time. I am working on a video game, I suggest you check it out. I'll see y'all next time, bye.
