Dead Island 2 - The Queue
0It's been awhile since I dove into a Dead Island entry. The first one, mainly, as I played all of ten minutes of Riptide and nothing of whatever that weird ninja-action-stealth game they made.
Dead Island 2 seems to embody the same dark humor and colors, so the aesthetic matches. I was never a fan of the quickly-deteriorating weapons, but I guess that's something I'll need to get used to. I think it's also hard for the games to match the same kind of cultural impact the first game had (I think I played the first act a dozen times).
All in all, I went in expecting to continue playing the game, and I don't think will change. Is it scary? No. Was I expecting to be? Not at all. But get deep enough into the game (upgrading weapons, acquiring guns, etc.) and I'm sure the annoying nuances of the series will fade into a flurry of blood and bourgy LA.
