This video shows a direct comparison of Dead Space 3 on both the PC and XBox 360 games console. The PC version features the game running at 1080P with all in game settings maxed out, the console version (xbox 360) of Dead Space 3 is recorded at the highest bit rate and at 720P.
For the most part, Microsoft's current flagship console does reasonably well. Texture details and environmental decals, lighting and shadows, as well as other important visual characteristics are decently shown on the Xbox 360 version of Dead Space 3. Despite my previous criticisms of Dead Space 3 on the PC not having as detailed textured as I'd like, it still flexes its muscles over both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 counter parts.
Loading times are also far far faster on the PC, the playstation 3 version of Dead Space 3 is particularly slower at loading - even with the install. The Xbox 360 isn't too bad, but compared the PC version feels like lightning - even without the aid of an SSD.
The PC version of Dead Space 3 doesn't really require a super powerful machine to run it - although there is an issue with the game being capped to 30FPS if you have V-Sync enabled - disabling V-Synch doesn't seem an issue with frame tearing on my setup - however, your mileage might vary.
Visually, I'm pleased with Dead Space 3's design choices, I just feel like that PC version is being held back quite a bit by the console counter parts, and that Visceral Games didn't do quite as much as it could have to up the quality for the PC release of Dead Space 3.
