Deadly Premonition (PS3) - entering Harry's Mansion uninvited
10New tech! You can use those dogs roaming around at night to clip through collision here and there. The game usually tries to prevent these enemies from getting too close to walls, for understandable reasons: if York gets in between a dog and a wall when it's not actively attacking, the wall might as well not even exist.
I tried this tech at a few spots around the game, and Harry's Mansion is so far the easiest place where to go OoB with it. It requires no additional setup: just trick the dog into pushing York through either of the pillars at the front gate.
You can stay near a dog fairly safely as long as you don't stand directly in front of it. When it turns to face York, run around 60 degrees to the opposite direction to avoid its dash attack. After its dash, the dog is as close to the wall as it's going to get. Depending on RNG, it will then turn, which is another opportunity to get pushed through wall.
Entering Harry's Mansion at night doesn't seem to do anything particularly interesting (except in some specific Chapters?), but on the plus side, you can use this wall clip to check out some OoB scenery behind the mansion. Most notably, can see the normally inaccessible Velvet Falls up close.
