6New tech! When you're grabbed by a shadow, York may stumble a few steps inside walls during the animation. Although this isn't useful for clipping walls, per se, York can activate loading triggers while phasing through collision.
I doubt there will be much use for this tech, however. Due to the unique shape of the Hospital entrance, its loading trigger is probably a bit easier to access than any other doorway loading trigger in the game. And even here the trick is quite inconsistent to pull off, suggesting that it would be even harder or possibly just plain impossible to use this same tactic elsewhere in the game... Still, it's something that warrants more testing.
0:29 - I tried what happens if you complete Chapter 3 during night. All the cutscenes play normally, although the lighting is a bit more oppressive and dark than usual. Fiona appears in the intro cutscene but disappears shortly afterwards. The hospital also lacks any unnamed NPC characters at the moment.
2:05 - However, the game adjusts the clock to 16:00 after you complete the otherworld level, therefore preventing Chapter 4 from starting at night.
2:38 - It's also possible to leave the hospital early during Chapter 3 by using the gurney that's been conveniently left next to the entrance. Normally York refuses to use the Hospital front door until the level has been completed.
While outside, the game mostly continues like normal. If you walk into the mission circle and start the level over again, George and Emily speak as if York had wasted too much time yesterday and they never got to see Ushah.
I've heard that this game has a problem with key items disappearing if you save & reload; I didn't try this, but I imagine something like that might happen if you escaped after getting the key card and then saved & reloaded.
If you check the map at 23:55, the map indicates Emily and George are still inside the hospital, probably wondering where York had wandered off to. They teleport back to their homes when the clock strikes midnight, however.
