A.k.a the Sigourney-glitch. York should've stayed far away from old ladies with pot... This is quite a major and bizarre glitch that allows you to overlap a cutscene / event with multiple instances of itself.

0:00 - The basic idea is simple: the activation of a mission circle becomes delayed if you hit it during the first line of any two-part dialogue said by Sigourney. During this delay, entering the mission circle a second time will activate everything tied to that mission circle again, with a slight delay. The only exception so far I've noticed is the mission circle at Sigourney's home that ends this side quest, which is glitch-proofed against this effect.

Occasionally Sigourney keeps saying new lines as you're setting up this glitch, allowing more than one overlap to occur. However, this video only shows a basic variation with two mission circle overlaps at the Chapter 12 tailing sequence.

0:09 - So, what happens when some cutscene is overlapped with itself? It seems all or most dialogue lines are said multiple times. Camera work is repetitive. Each instance of a cutscene comes with its own fade-ins and fade-outs - this is especially significant at the end of a cutscene, because an extraneous fade-out during regular gameplay seems to interrupt anything York was doing, creating break-out possibilities that were never before possible.

2:03 - In regards to this specific Chapter 12 cutscene, the extraneous fade-out that activates during the tailing sequence will automatically fail the tailing sequence (?). Or, at the very least, the failure cutscene starts passively playing in the background while the tailing sequence seemingly continues as normal. Nick's car unloads, making him start walking during the tailing sequence.

Driving close to Nick will then fail the tailing sequence... again... causing an overlap of the failure cutscene. After the first cutscene ends, York is returned to the Police Department like expected, but the second failure cutscene will continue playing passively, creating a break-out possibility near the PD. On this attempt, I tried opening the locked door to the station. As you can see, the action is interrupted and York is teleported back in front of the PD while the door sequence continues by itself.

One limitation is that you can't open the Pause-menu while cutscenes are overlapped. Every time you press Pause, the current cutscene is simply skipped and the game jumps to the next point in the sequence of events; this happens even when you have full control of York and this is also a way to cause unintended break-outs during actions.

In addition to this, skipping parts of the overlapped cutscenes while they're playing causes even more unique effects... Like a LOT of different, bizarre effects... but those will have to wait for another video.

3:16 - after the overlapped cutscenes / events have ended, everything is back to normal. Or is it? If you go to the Galaxy of Terror parking lot, Sigourney is hovering there like a ghost. She is without her pot and looks peaceful at last.

3:49 - but it's not over yet! The Sigourney timer is still running in the background. Once it runs out, regular gameplay is interrupted so that Sigourney can well and truly express her disapproval at York for letting her pot go cold, even if you are on foot. She then appears at the location of the cutscene and can be talked again for another try.

There's a chance that this Sigourney event could kick in during any random action York is doing in the overworld, potentially creating even more new break-out and glitch opportunities... This is a very complex glitch, and more is sure to come.
