Deathloop is (like all Arkane games) an ambitious title mixing aspects of Dishonored, Prey Mooncrash, along with elements from Dark Souls and Majora's Mask. When it works, it's fantastic. However, Deathloop still felt like it was holding back a bit and didn't fully commit to some of these design decisions. While it is a great game and one I recommend, of all Akrane's titles, it feels like it's the one that falls most short in regards to execution on its premise.

This Deathloop review/analysis/critique will look at where Deathloop is at its best, the invasion mode, the game's shortcomings, the plot, and the future of Arkane as a studio.
