Decoding Dominance: Toxic Family Dynamics & The Ultimate Power Play
Dominance (especially in a toxic family dynamic) can truly shift your personality development and ability to engage in relationships. \n\nDominance is described as "power and influence over others." It can be very overwhelming to a "free spirit," a child, and also someone who thrives when making decisions and seeing life through their own eyes. \n\nIn a toxic family dynamic, there is NO freedom of thought and no exploration of the self because everyone must go along to get along. \n\nEveryone must listen to dad or he will flip. \n\nEveryone must listen to mom and look perfect because if we don't, she will get mad and refuse to talk to us for weeks. \n\nThese kind of toxic family dynamics are extremely unhealthy.\n\nIn this live chat, I discuss the psychology of obedience and submission.
