I enjoyed my time with Dead Space 3, but it's easily the weakest of the DS games. The campaign is needlessly stretched out, the environments are not as distinctive as Ishimura or The Sprawl, the story is nowhere near as good as DS2 (the narrative high point of the series and one of the most satisfying game stories of 2011) and the addition of pure shooter elements feels rather pointless. All things considered, though, DS3 is still a lot more enjoyable and atmospheric than many other linear action games out there and is certainly worth playing for fans of the series.
