► Soo Neo, what happens today ? Well I'm glad You ask!! ツ
Welcome everybody! To Let's Play Homeworld Deserts of Kharak! Part 10 Mission 7 on Clas-sic difficulty! Ashoka have been destroyed, next stop Gaalsien Base! Almost the entire map is one big Gaalsien Base! It makes me wonder how actually this place can hold of the sand ? Like why the same desert of Kharak which is eating other cities didn’t buried this place under sand ? Anyway, Gaalsien Base is located far to the north. A bit sought of that base there is a wreck I plan to blow up and gather all I can, on classic difficulty level Gaalsien Base turrets hit quite hard but I can use Rachel as my “tank” unit send a EMP attack ( which is powerful! ) and then send the rail guns to destroy the control tower. Now Gaalsien Base have a new of those Control towers so You better focus fire on them instead of the towers. Keep in mind that on Classic difficulty level those towers can and will destroy Your air units! Keep Your distance! Thanks to saakala moment all of the Gaalsien Base defenders have ran after it, so I won’t face too many units here attacking my passion but those Gaalsien Railguns on Classic difficulty hit hard! So best tacking I found is to use cliffs around the place and take cover there. Also the mortal is very useful at the Gaalsien Base itself as we can hide behind some buildings and rain fire over them! At the wreck there are plenty of resources so leave a sup-port units here and use Kapisi as a attack unit, You can enter with it the Gaalsien Base from the east or right gate. Kapisi will deal quick with Gaalsien Defenders. In other words Push slowly at the base, if You hear a Gaalsien Patrol is coming hold ground and wait, deal with it and move forward towards the Gaalsien Base, Sooner or later You will get a perfect position to attack. Do not rush! Use Rachel EMP attack on Control Towers gather everything, develop any remaining researches. I had to split this episode to 2 parts so The attack itself on the Gaalsien Base will be on the next one, in this I did mostly preparation and Harvesting opera-tions and try not to loose any Bombers! Gaalsien base expect for the towers and I’m talking about that big structure is defenceless anyway. Also I think Gaalsien Base is second map where the sun is setting down, I need to pay attention is there any moon on Kharak since in Homeworld 1 there was no moon on this planet.
