Deserts of Kharak | Khashar Approach | Mission 10 | Classic | part 17 | Let's Play Homeworld DoK
Finish of the Gaalsien forces on Khashar Approach. Gaalsien backup are on route to our position, deal with them and the plateau should be secured from Gaalsien threat, It was a nice and easy mission in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak on Hard – Classic difficulty.

► Soo Neo, what happens today ? Well I'm glad You ask!! ツ
Welcome everybody! To Let's Play Homeworld Deserts of Kharak! Part 17 Mission 10 on Classic difficulty, Khashar Approach. Lower parts of Khashar Approach have been secured, savages can harvest all the minerals in peace. I do wonder does the Gaalsien no longer use there own salvaging units in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak ? Is this because of Classic difficulty ? But then, I think the game should even try to keep me on lower amount of resources to acquire, oh well. I won’t judge better for me to harvest everything from Khashar Approach. Remember that there is one wreck behind the enemy lines! Just at top tier of this plateau so don’t rush in destroying all the Gaalsien in Khashar Approach. Plan worked perfectly, even on Classic the enemy can’t hold against this force of units and firepower I have. I have found only 1 artefact on the east side of Khashar Approach. Which is sad because normally before in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak we had like from three to four on each mission! Mission 10 is fun I must say, Khashar Approach allows You to have some nice fun with the light of sight mechanic in the game! Rock formations to hide units, using then the sensor arrays to place targets for Your artillery or aircraft units. Keep in mind the Gaalsien will have a large force hidden in north part of Khashar Approach, but without air cover so feel free to send there a bomber or two. Also I think Mission 10, Khashar Approach is one of the most rich in resources maps in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. But then on the other hand we can reasearch A LOT of useful upgrades for our units here. Khashar Approach is actually that mission where You don’t have to rush but its wise to collect everything and develop everything You may need. Upgrade for armor ? Fire power ? Range of weapons ? Its here! What I’m lacking right now in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak is a sensor array only focus unit! Soo that I will be able to target and scout ahead. Soo far in Khashar Approach I used my carrier but she won’t fit everywhere You know ? Soo I do wonder does the Gaalsien have a unit like this that I don’t know yet about in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak and if Yes will I be able to get it after Khashar Approach ? Also useful tip, try to acquire a production cruiser from the Gaalsien in Khashar Approach as it will serve well as a drop off unit for Your salvagers and a nice guard unit. I think that most of the old units that I use so far will be focused on defending the harvesting operation in every future mission of Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. While the support units will stick to the main fleet.
