Welcome everybody! To Let's Play Homeworld Deserts of Kharak! Part 18 Mission 11 on Classic difficulty, Khashar Plateau. Time to swap positions! This time its us on the top and Gaalsien at the bottom… That sounded bad. Anyway Khashar Plateau, is a map with lots of resources, tho mission 11 does not offer any kind of new research to do! Which is sad I don’t have anything to with all my resources since on Classic difficulty I try to have as little casual-ties as it is possible. Is Mission 11 hard ? its not, to be honest the most imported part in part one of the Khashar Plateau is to form good formations with the available units while cover-ing the little harvesting operations on the top of said Plateau. Gaalsiens will attack from all sides so strategy is like in previous maps from Homeworld Deserts of Kharak, we form our units a bit further in to the high ground, so that every units that will appear once its travel up the ramp will get easily destroyed by the massive firepower of our honour guard cruise and railguns. The Kaapisi in Mission 11, Khashar Plateau serves more like a damage absorbtion unit and a long range sensor. As always even in mission 11 of Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak I’m still supply block and even tho I have gathered tremendous amounts of resources through the campaign of Deserts of Kharak I simply have nothing to spend it on! But I still continue my style of harvesting every single resources! You will never know when You may need them. The Gaalsien will attack with force the Khashar Plateau I belive this is the first mission in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak where they show this kind of determination of at-tacking my passions. You will face a lot of units here. Starting from the sandskimmers ending on advance missile ships and few honour guard units, expect also a few air fighters coming from the north side of Khashar Plateau. If You had develop the upgrade for Your supply Cruisers or have a few of Your own missiles batteries around then they won’t pose too much of a threat even so late in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. The Gaalsien won’t have a carrier in mission 11, they just use a few production Cruisers nothing bit of a thread however, dur-ing the first part of Khashar Plateau most of the Gaalsien army will come of map anyway, so destroying said production Cruisers may be effective in the second part of Khashar Plateau. That starts when the Saadim will appear interesting tho we haven’t seen them in the last mission, I wonder why. Did they made a deal with the Gaalsien ? Anyway You have to hold ground till they arrive, after that Gaalsiens from Khashar Plateau will hold there aggressions a bit and then this map turns in to a standard Homeworld Deserts of Kharak mission. Harvest do rest of the objectives and continue.
