Welcome everybody! To Let's Play Homeworld Deserts of Kharak! Part 21 Mission 12 on Classic difficulty, Torin Crater. Rachel is safe, ramps leading to position of our carrier, the Kapisi secured. Sad story is there is only one artifact in Torin Crater and it serves as a final upgrade for the Homeworld Deserts of Kharak main unit, the Kapisi. I feel kinda sad that I haven’t respected the baserunner before, I always put that unit in the back without using it as I should. In Torin Crater mission I have found or I should I say I have refound the use of a scanner deployment the Baserunner offers, this unit is actually useful in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak, I just till Torin Crater didn’t use it how I should! The range of this thing along with the fire range of the artillery units and honor guard cruisers is one of the strongest carts in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. A scanner put in a right place can give You a great advantage over the enemy forces. Since we all know right intel is sometimes key to victory and Homeworld Deserts of Kharak is no exception. Torin Crater have 4 wrecks all of them contain only resources, I haven’t found any new researches to make or any new units to build in Torin Crater. Soo Torin Crater mission had a lot of pressure at the beginning where You had to secure the right positions before clearing the Torin Crater out of the Sidim Carrier. I do wonder how many actually carriers there are in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. I think that at the start of the Homeworld Deserts of Kharak there was a logo of the collation force with 5-6 carrier names. Kapisi and Saakala was among them, I do wish developers of Homeworld Deserts of Kharak would consider making an expansion pack with new campaign, new story and new units. Thought I do not know what kind of events those new missions could hold. After gathering all the resources from the upper side of Torin Crater it is time to once and for all deal with the Sidim traitors. They are securing the center place of Torin Crater where the Taiidan Carrier is located. They have put turrets and scanners all over the place, soo while advancing there You need to clear that out otherwise the enemy will simply know your every move. Since I have secured all the ramps in Torin Crater with my army I will attack the Saakala from 3 sides at the same time. There is no place for them to run, this is how You deal with traitors. Rachel haven’t show me yet what she had discovered in the Torin Crater from the Taiidan Carrier. This is actually I think one of the missions in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak where I had problems in the end. I lost a few units to the enemy. The cruise missile have around 180 seconds cooldown, but somehow the Saakala on classic can fire it over and over. Soo remember once You get to the bottom of Torin Crater You better don’t stop your units. This is a rare mechanic in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak I think no other carrier have it.
