30After acquiring basic equipment its time to set our first base of operations in the underwa-ter. Once again location shall be next to the hot geyser near the kelp forest. Its by far the perfect location I have found in the beginning of Subnautica for a first base. Its direct to 2 bioms, Easy access for silver and gold at beginning of Subnautica of the game and also a steady supply of stalker teeth.

Welcome everybody! To Let's Play Subnautica! Season 2, Part 2! Time to set up base! As al-ways I found the Kelp forest to be the perfect location as for now, However in this let’s play I wish to use all the tools the game have to offer so In each episode I will try to use everything at least once. But for now we need to build our Subnautica Base, later I’ll probobyly trans-form this place in to an outpost and make a main base somewhere else. Now Subnautica after recent update have changed, You need to scan everything! We are lacking solar panels the basic and the best power source on the beginning of the game. Without it I can’t power my new founded base in Subnautica. Soo we will search around till we find something useful. Now Somehow I was able to find the bioreactor normally You acquire this power source at end game of Subnautica not its beginning. But its ok, we can play along as the game wants. You know what they say, if life gives You lemons, throw them in to a bio reactor and make power, right ? It was a bit of a struggle In this episode of Subnautica for me, I really really want to make an awesome base! Way better than last time, but for that I need to have all the blueprints. But for we need to worry about food and water. thanks to the latest farming update for Subnautica we now can breed our own fish! Big aquarium tho needs a lot of space but it does not need power so that’s the only good side of it. The Bioreactor is a one of the two types of power source in Subnautica. We have the unlimited one, Solar Panels for sun or thermo geopower plant for tempeture… like the geyser! Yep! That’s why I always try to make a base next to a heat source in Subnautica. It just makes the game a bit easier as it will constantly produce power without me helping, this is a good thing if You plant to make like little outposts around the map in order to gather resources and I think with each update Subnautica have more and more of those to gather. Problem tho with the Bioreactor in Subnautica is that it needs fuel! Same like the nuclear reactor. The Bioreactor needs to have fuel made from kelp forest and Fungal sample… What ever that is… Problem is I can’t find fungal! And I have this stupid feeling I can only gate it in late game of Subnautica not in the beginning. Soo placing a bioreactor at the very start is I think a bad idea. Tho I’m a profes-sionals right ? I can deal with it! Somehow… Also the bioreactor is at the moment only a place holder in Subnautica and I fear it may destroy my base if the devs decide to make an update of it.
