Here's the new public event located in the Dreaming City called: "The Rift Generator". This is how you trigger the heroic version:

1. Kill the orange-barred Scorn ogre & collect the orb to start the generator at 100%.

2. At some point within the 5-minute defense, a Taken blight will appear either on the left, middle or right. You must shoot it quickly before the blight sinks away.

3. Once all 3 blights are shot down, another Taken blight will spawn along with 3-4 Taken wizards at the generator which will decrease the %. You must kill all wizards quickly before the generator hits 0%. If you have at least 1% or more remaining after all wizards are dead, a rift will appear. Head inside the Ascendant realm & you'll now trigger the heroic public event.

4. Once inside, you'll encounter the 1st ever 2-part heroic event. The 1st part is to stop the Taken Ritual by killing as much Taken as possible including some wizards. The 2nd part is to kill the boss Taken knight within the time limit & you're done + you can exit the realm.
