How’s it going guys, so today I want to talk about Bungie’s multitude of apologies, that they have released over the last 4 months or so. Some people reached out to me and asked why I didn’t make another video, on Bungie’s newest response to their most recent failure, involving the faction rally, and all I have to say for that, is what’s the point? Why should we throw our hands in the air, and thank bungie every time they post another state of the game, or another we’ve heard the fans, or our bad this is on us. Bungie has done nothing, but try and make excuses or small apologies, on their constant path of self-destruction. With every update, or every seasonal activity, and even with DLC, bungie has flat out made mistakes and failed on many aspects, mostly due to ignorance and lack of respect for their fans and loyal consumer base. Every time they make a mistake, the fans catch on quickly and let bungie know that what they are doing is wrong, and every time bungie promises improvements, and issues an apology.

But I’m tired of apologies, and promises of improvement.

Destiny 1 did not live up to the game we were sold, it was full of broken promises, and failed concepts. But over it's life it was improved on, and became a great game, It still didn’t live up to, or fulfill its original vision that many had, but it became its own unique experience.

Destiny 2 was sold on the promise, that it would get right, what Destiny 1 initially got wrong. While in many ways it has several improvements, ultimately it is several steps back from year 3 in destiny 1, and then add on the cash grab of Eververse, and how bungie continues to push eververse front and center, and continually add more features and items into it, creating a massive paywall, we have a disappointing and insulting game. Not everything is bad, as I have said before there are lots of good aspects to the game. Even though many will say the gameplay and the shooting, isn’t as fun as Destiny 1, it still remains one of the most fun and fluid shooters on the market, and that’s why so many will continue to play and buy it. It may be monotonous and boring, but when you nail the gameplay, it can still be a thrill to play at times, and bungie really knows how to make great gameplay in shooters.

Now I don’t enjoy being negative, and I truly think what I, and many others are doing is just tough love, I want Destiny to succeed, and I want nothing more, than to see Bungie fully realize the product they have, and the experience they are capable of making, so if that takes harsh criticism, to nudge them in the right direction, then so be it, because for right now, I don’t care how many times bungie says they are sorry. They need to show us the sincerity of their words, not tell us, and they need to give fans a better reason for a second shot, other than simply reverting changes they keep making, to get us to spend more money on eververse. Ok so that’s my thoughts on bungie newest apology, and my opinion on Bungie’s current status.
