- First we have a player asking one of the devs about news on the new
update.
Devs respond that sometime tomorrow they will have an news on the new update that they can share. The devs posted this yesterdays so i also have the news on the update.
The devs state that there are 0 unsolved bugs from the refactor
and that hopefully tomorrow or Friday, they will do another test. If new bugs
are found from the new test, then the devs will have to fix those before a
patch can be published. Devs also state that they will share more once the
test is done.
Again like i stated before, i do not like the constant badgering and questions about the new patch. This stuff takes time and there are a lot of problems especially when it comes to code refactors. I suggest everyone stay patient, getting emotional and constantly bothering the devs wont help speed up the process.
- Second we have a player asking about the release of modding tools and
also a multiplayer patch.
Devs state that the player is going to be very happy in the coming weeks.
This pretty much means we can expect modding tools and a multiplayer update soon. Again like i stated, have patience, good changes are coming.
- Third we have the devs responding to more players asking about the new patch release. The devs state that they want to release the new patch this
week, however they encountered some more bugs, that need to be fixed first. Devs also state that it is likely that the patch will be delayed until next
week.
Also the devs respond to a player asking about another dev blog entry.
The devs state they are exploring new formats for the dev updates and blogs. The devs also state they ahve two topics to discuss in the works that they plan to share soon.
Seems reasonable to me and it follows what the other dev has stated before. I unfortunately read the replies to this news and to be honest this so
called community of "fans" are not fans at all. Pure negativity and hate and
i hate to see it. Yes a patch got delayed, it happens. yes the game isnt what
you wanted it to be, you were warned before you bought it. Yes there are bugs, its early access, get over yourself. Any rational person sees that the devs are working and are trying to communicate the best they can, but how can they say anything, if all the replies are full of toxic emotional responses, its pathetic. Once the changes do come, watch everyone come back and be like i supported from the start, knew you guys could do it.
- Fourth we have the devs replying to another player about the
bug situation in game.
The devs then respond like a robot (because someone earlier called them out for being an automated robot) and the devs stated that they will delay as long as necessary and they do not want to push out a broken patch. Also
state that while this refactor is bad for the short term for players, it will
be beneficial for the long term.
Also devs state that they were clear and honest about this being an early
access title and if the players is allowed to refund, that he should do so.
Here is my take, ive played for 360 hours now and i must be playing a different game than the people on the forums because out of all my 360 hours, i experienced one crash and yes a handful of bugs, but a reload from a recent save usually fixed that easily. Yes there was a problem with workshops, then wars and now smithing, but those are problems that are happening due to the game being early access and game aspects being changed. Its not a finished game, of course it has bugs and problems, but i got through 3 full playthroughs now no problem. The game works, yes its not in depth yet and there are bugs, but the game is playable and for me atleast, its enjoyable.
That is all the statements and replies for now and if anything new comes up, i will make a video and keep you guys informed.
Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying active and
bringing good changes.
Also as an early access game, if you are playing on the beta, do not expect
the the gameplay to be stable, it is a beta branch meant for play testing and
reporting.
If you would like to play in a stable environment, please play on the stable
live patches of the game.
I have a video on how to revert to a stable patch, link will be down below
if you wish to change back - https://youtu.be/7G4KvZQeLcs
Hopefully this was informative, ask me any question and stay safe!
