- First we have the devs confirming that the regular update is scheduled
for Monday and then discussion about the patch will start aswell.
A player then asked if this means 1.4.2 will move to live and will we see
1.4.3 on Monday.
The devs then reply and confirm that yes we will see the move to live and a new beta version of the game.
Previously i thought the devs would put out one more hotfix on Monday, but its good to see that the update is ready.
- Second we have a player asking the devs what they are working on
specifically in terms of changes.
Devs respond and state that they will be sharing info about upcoming updates with a blog or something similar. Also that the devs have changes to multiplayer coming that they are very proud of. And speaking of singleplayer, devs state they have some nice UI improvements that should have the flow of the game. Also changes to the character development system, new perks, new quests and tons of other changes that have to do with performance and various other aspects of gameplay.
I have covered the multiplayer changes they have been working on and they seem to be changes the community wants and stands behind. I do not play multiplayer, but i will give it a try when this patch comes out, might even stream it, we will see!
- Third we have a player starting a change .org petition for modding tools to be released faster.
The devs respond that they are working on modding tool, but they will not
release them until they are ready. Also state that petitions are not going to
change anything in this regard.
Players really want modding tools and i see posts about it everywhere. For
everyone wondering the devs stated previously that modding tools are coming in the next couple of weeks. Probably will not see it Monday with the patch, but as you can see with this reply, they are currently working on them and they see the demand for them, so i think releasing modding tools is probably a priority for the devs.
- Fourth we have a thread made about clans leaving too soon and players
stating that the feature of clans staying and leaving is broken.
Devs respond to the thread and state that this will get better with 1.4.3 and
clans will leave the player less frequently than before.
I cant wait for this change personally, its always been a problem, it has
gotten better, but more improvements are always good to see.
- Fifth we have a multiplayer dev making a statement about upcoming
multiplayer changes. He states that the big multiplayer changes are not
going to be included in the upcoming 1.4.3 patch, but in the next 1.5.0
patch.
I can already see all the complainers jump on this statement, but the dev was transparent and i guess all the changes were not done yet, not the end of the world, it happens.
- Sixth we have a player stating that the trade perk called Whole Seller
was working early on, but was broken a couple of patches ago. Whole Seller is a perk you can get early on at trade level 25 and it gives you a 5%
decreased trade penalty for trade goods and also profits are marked.
Multiple players state that the marking part of the perk is not working
anymore.
The devs state that they have found the bug and it is fixed now to mark the
text as it should and also provided code and screenshots to back up the fix.
Also the devs state that yes this was broken sometime at the end of April by problematic code.
Good to see the devs working with the community and solving these quick code issues. We will also probably see this changed for tomorrows patch.
Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying active and
bringing good changes.
Also as an early access game, if you are playing on the beta, do not expect
the the gameplay to be stable, it is a beta branch meant for play testing and
reporting.
If you would like to play in a stable environment, please play on the stable
live patches of the game.
