DEVS Speak on Modding Tools, Patch Release Date & Dev Blog - https://youtu.be/14dJgvzr_gc

- First we have a dev speaking on tests that are being done to find any
remaining bugs in the upcoming patch. The devs state that if no new bugs
are found during the new test, then the new patch will be out sometime next week, but if there are new bugs, then more tests will have to be done next week and in turn the patch will be again delayed.
Also the devs state that is it not smart to release it now because this patch
is a lot more dangerous because of the code refactor. Also state that this is
the 4th test done after the refactor was finished and new bugs were found on each test. Also devs give a 50% chance that the patch will be released next week.
As i stated before and will state again, patience is key, the devs have
stated that this is a big and important patch for them and it will take time.
While i cant wait for the new patch and what comes with it, good things take time, lets try to stay positive and have patience.
- Now as i was making this video, we received another update from the same developer about the result of the tests. The devs state that 6 new bugs were found from the test, but were all fixed the same day. He now raises the probability to 90% that the new patch will be out next week. Also the devs state that since the code refactor took so long and so much man power, please dont expect a huge amount of content for this patch, but only this patch.
So hopefully all goes well and we do see a new patch next week, again like the devs stated this patch might not have huge amount of changes, but the next patches after this one will have the content players want to see.
- Third we have a Facebook post by the bannerlord team that states that
we will get a new update this Monday, July 27th for 1.4.2 and they will also
talk about 1.4.3 next week.
So by this post, it looks like another hotfix will come this Monday and then
1.4.3 will either come later the same week if all is good like the other
devs have stated or at worst, another week delay.
- Fourth we have two players asking the devs questions. First player asks
about the code refactor and how this will effect the players of the game.
Devs respond that the code refactor is the reworking of code and that the
player will notice no difference on their side.
Second we have a player accusing the devs of cashing out and not caring
about the game.
Devs respond that this statement was absolute rubbish and that if the player is so unhappy with the game to refund it if he still can. Also state that the development of the game will continue and that at a later date, if the player wants, he can give the game another try.
For the first question, yes a code refactor does help the devs mostly, but
indirectly will also help the player because the devs will have an easier time
coding and making changes.
For the second question, you already know my answer if you watch my videos, but if you are new, in short i think the devs should not respond to these statements and if you are a player frustrated with the game and want to make a similar post, please come with support evidence if you are going to make claims like that.
- Fifth we have a new player and the a player from the previous reply each
make a statement.
First we have a reformed player stating he understands that
the devs are working hard and are getting too much negativity and that he
has confidence that this will be a great game.
The devs thank the player but also state that they understand the frustration and the current lack of patches. Also state that the devs will keep working and that they do not want to release a broken patch just to appease players in the short term, but makes sure the patch works before its release.
The second player who made the precious claim that the devs cashed out and gave up on the game, comments again and states that the devs suggesting he refunds the game shows what TW considers a good attitude.
Devs reply that the player should just add the refund comment to their forum signature. But all jokes aside, the devs state they are not in the business of stealing money and if the player does not like their product and is eligible for a refund, to go do that. Also if the player wants, he can watch
the development process and come back to the game later.
For the first statement, i respect when a person can stand up and say they
were a bit rough in the past and turn negativity into positivity.
For the second statement, if you are going to come in and make false claims and spread negativity, do not expect a smile and thank you in return.
Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying active.
