DEVS Speak on New Patch, Refactor Process & MP Bugs - Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
Current & Future Situation of Broken Perks & Skills - https://youtu.be/VFEL68sq57U
SCRIPT:
Today we are going to talk about devs speaking on new patch and dev notes, code refactor, system requirements and multiplayer bug.
Forum Link - https://bit.ly/2YQdTXh
- First we have a thread made by a player asking the devs how long until
the next multiplayer dev blog, states that it has been over a month since
the last one.
Devs state that they are working on the new multiplayer dev update and
that it will be a bit different than before and hopefully the community likes
it.
Again like i always state, i dont play multiplayer much, but once the dev
update comes, ill make sure to cover it and inform all of you!
- Second we have a player asking how long the code refactor will take.
Another player answers and states that it is done already, as stated
previously by the devs, but now the devs are taking care of bugs caused by the refactor. Then also quotes the devs in terms of how long it will take with
"very soon" to "slightly less than very soon."
The original player then responds with a question asking if it will be 3 weeks at most?
The devs then respond and state that it will be out as soon as possible. Also that the devs are aware that there is a lack of updates and they are working hard to deliver the next patch. Also state that they have not stopped working on everything else just cause of the code refactor.
Patience is key in my opinion and like i stated before, this concept of
badgering the devs constantly for an update, it wont make the update come
faster and you are putting more pressure on the devs, which can cause mistakes and rushing. If the devs state its coming soon, then chill and let them work.
- Third we have a player that found a multiplayer bug that lets you play
even if you are banned due to leaving a previous game. This can be done by
joining a friend party.
The devs respond and state this is fixed internally, but will go live with
the next multiplayer patch.
- Fourth we have a player making a thread about his computer being too
slow to play this game as he wants with big battles.
Community Support Admin responds and states that you do need a good system to be able to have huge battles like the original player wanted. Also state that there is constant work on optimization for certain game aspects, but unfortunately they cannot lower the minimum requirements anymore.
Personally i have a good rig for a computer, but even i have trouble at
huge numbers, but it has gotten better after every couple updates. While i
know the devs will try to optimize the game to the best of their ability,
the game itself is huge and big battles are very hard on everyones computer because there is a lot going on.
- Fifth we have the community support making a statement about the
current patching process. Admin states that they test the game at every phase and the recent code refactor introduced a lot of bugs and issues, but these were expected. Also state that since the game has non linear gameplay, the code refactor and the bug fixing process is a lot longer and its a more difficult process. Also the admin states that they dont want to delay a patch and they are working hard to fix everything before they release the next patch.
Here is my hot take, a month without an update is not the end of the world,
a lot of games, even some of the top games that were in early access or beta only really received big updates every couple of months.
- Sixth we have the most negative person on the forums asking all the other
players if they believe the devs and their claim that the game will be in
early access for the next year.
BTW i covered his name because i covered him in the past and i do not want to give him any more attention. He has clocked in 100 hours on the forum even though he made dozens of negative biased threads and stated he quit like a month ago, but he still posts daily.
Okay, so the admin responded and stated that the player does not want to
understand and that the only way he will calm down is if the devs tell him
what he wants to hear. Also state that they hope he enjoyed the game, but it
does not seem like the case. Also state that this attitude does not help
anyone.
Could not agree more with the devs, like i stated before, there is a small
group of people on the forums who just make negative post after negative post everyday, spend hours replying, even though they supposedly hate the game. I dont know if im missing something, but if i dislike a game, i dont usually spend hours in the forum putting down everyones opinion, all i do, is uninstall and move on, but that might just be me.
Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying active and
bringing good changes.
