Not many others can work with dodging off-turn threshold attacks, aside from well ... other dodgers. Coincidentally, Dorgann is a compatible companion for Galuf in this situation.
Dorgann's accumulate Image Slash+ triggers simply at any point when something is broken in one action, regardless of turn restrictions. Most of the others are either (field) turn dependent or hit dependent. On this point, he is rather unique.
For example, Laguna's Desperado only explodes ones because all of these threshold attacks don't have a single turn elapse. Garnet's overhead does not increase for the same reason. Cor does not work because these attacks don't have an actual target.
So I just sat back and let these two do their thing with Rem admiring the action.
