[DFFOO JP][Vayne Lufenia+] Y'shtola + Vayne + Zack (CoD) with Cait Sith Call trampling the flowers
Probably the hardest Lufenia+ for me for the number of times I tried when it first came, but this time it is total destruction.
After having Cait in party, I have decided to use the same team that I used for Vayne's Lufenia, but instead of Strago and Iroha call, I am sticking Cait Sith call on Y'shtola and the newly obtained Gabranth call instead. In my previous run, Zack had to come back for the last 10-20% of one flower, but this time, he did not even get to come back and the flowers are destroyed.
So yeah I think Cait Sith is worth using in party and as a call with some party comps and set ups. I could not cap around 50% threshold last time but this time around both Vayne and CoD and their follow-ups are hitting caps most of the time even below 30%.
I didn't record my first clear when this Lufenia+ came out because I did not think this trial team without Bartz have the damage to do it, and I forgot to push the record button this second time around before 80% lol.
4 things to note:
1. Vayne is definitely usable here, it seems counter-intuitive with the 12 turn player equals boss instant turn mechanic, but if you count your turns and break the boss in front of the other you can lock them in place in turns of turn order so they don't drift away, get instant turn and waste your debuffs.
2. Putting zack there was because of his high damage output, LD aura and to reduce damage, since in my trial runs when this first came out I had trouble recovering HP only using Y'shtola.
3. Use summon early and Vayne's real burst to fully capitalize on Cait Sith's call and CoD's presence, this also since burst and summon does not add to their 12-turn mechanic, bosses can't jump turn and cleanse so the debuff would stay for the full DPS phase.
4. Killing one does not add any enrage mechanics to the remaining boss, so since the boss is expecting to take a turn eventually, I killed the one with "All" first so even when the boss jumped turn it would kill the team.
Concluding thoughts:
Cait Sith LD is a very good addition even if he is just used as a call at the right moment, esp for someone like me who lack Bartz BT+2 and Bartz friends to boost crazy damage lol. He also pairs very well with Y'shtola, whom I have been using alot. Brv gain bonuses are key to beating Lufenia+ imo and Cait builds upon this idea. It feels like the first month in early chaos era when EX+ came out with it every one was hitting 1s at the end and the battery meta was strong.
